Easterbrook and Colvin are both international specialists with decades of experience in marketing, digital media and technology between them. As active board members, Easterbrook and Colvin will take up advisory roles, joining Widespace investors Industrifonden and Northzone, as well as Widespace founder Patrik Fagerlund and founder and Chairman to the board Henric Ehrenblad.

Easterbrook was previously CEO of media agency Starcom MediaVest Group, moving to Executive Director Digital Development across Europe, and currently holds several strategic advisory posts at innovative technology companies.

Stewart Easterbrook said: “Widespace works uniquely by delivering the kind of brand campaigns we’re used to seeing across more traditional channels, on mobile. Its success is driven by an in-depth knowledge of the advertising industry, great technology and a talented team – I’m looking forward to being part of the journey.”

Colvin holds senior advisory roles across the industry’s biggest businesses, and has just completed half a decade at Universal McCann Worldwide, most recently as North American Chief Operating Officer. Prior to this, Colvin was Vice President at Fox Networks Group.

Gregg Colvin commented: “Mobile advertising is an incredibly exciting place to be working in, especially for a company like Widespace which works at the premium end of what it can deliver as a channel. I’ll be offering guidance and support to ensure its proposition translates across markets.”

Widespace founder and Chairman Henric Ehrenblad added “Bringing this additional wealth of expertise to our board will enable us to gain further momentum and will guarantee ever-greater value to all advertisers looking to capitalise on the branding opportunity offered by mobile”
