Widespace brings on board Internet entrepreneur Henrik Stridsberg as new CTO

Stockholm, 2011-05-31. Widespace – The premium ad network for mobile sites and applications, strengthens its technological development by bringing on board internet entrepreneur Henrik Stridsberg as its new CTO. Henrik founded Proceedo which was later sold to Visma and he is now a partner in Widespace. A fantastic addition that enables Widespace to accelerate development even further.

Henrik has extensive experience in development and commercialization of heavy transaction based businesses and he will focus on further developing the technology platform with both functionality and scalability. Widespace international rollout increases these demands.

Patrik Fagerlund, CEO of  Widespace: “We see an explosion in sales and traffic, and we must meet the requirements of the market. Very few have yet realized how high the growth is in our business. We are very pleased that Henrik Stridsberg, with all his experience and knowledge, has chosen to invest with us at Widespace.
Now we can better serve our advertisers’ needs, and thereby develop the business even more.”

Henrik Stridsberg:  “I believe advertising is the commercial driving force behind much of the mobile ecosystem – and the phone will be one of the most important channels for effective advertising.  The timing is just right for Widespace, with growth of over 50% per quarter, the potential is extremely large, and one of the key challenges is to build scalability, both in terms of organization and technology.”
